Christmas In Truckee, CA 2010

This year Scott was called on snow service up in Truckee, CA.  We have no idea how long he is going to be up here.  Since he is going to be here through Christmas we packed up all the presents and usual Christmas snack food and headed up to spend Christmas with him.
We kept the presents up on the entertainment center to try keep the room tidy.
Our kitchen area
Having our prime rib dinner on Christmas Eve
The machine Scott drive to clear away the snow
 Teryn's gift from G&G Wren
 Kalie's gift from G&G Wren
 Seth's gift from G&G Wren
 Austin's gift from G&G Wren
A couple days in the snow sledding
 Austin had such a blast
 Kalie braved the hill
 Flying hair
He got hurt.  I guess he's following in Grandpa Wren's footsteps
My turn.  Getting hurt didn't stop him
I hit my head on the way down, ouch
 Dumping snow on Kalie
 Getting her back
 Cleaning the snow off
Getting ready to throw some snow on Scott.  That started our snowball fight.
A group of little shops across the street from where we were sledding
Ice cycles hanging off the hotel
The boys playing on the big snow mound behind the hotel
Trying to find a place to climb the big snow mound
We still don't know how long Scott will be up here.  If he's here for New Year's Eve we'll be back up here then too.

A Visit From G&G Hutchinson

Grandma and Grandpa Hutchinson came up this last weekend to spend some time with us.  Unfortunately Scott got called on an out of town job and we're not sure when he'll be home and missed seeing them.  The kids had a good time with them though.  They treated us to Yogi Bear.  That was a funny movie.  I'm sure my Dad will see that movie a few times.  Austin was happy to have a couple more opponents at pool.  I think they stomped on him a little and his ego has been taken down a notch.  Before they left the kids opened their gifts from G&G H.  They made out pretty good and the boys have some green burning a hole in their pockets.
The boys with their own first aid kits

The girls got an ornament and some green

The girls also got a pillow.  Their Great-Great-Grandma stitched the dolls on the squares years ago when she was alive.  Their Great-Grandma took those squares and made them into pillows for each of her Great-Grandgirls.  They are pretty cool.

Thanks for coming to see us Grandma and grandpa H.  We had fun.

Christmas Tree

This year we got a real (not artificial) wonderful smelling tree.  I love waking up to its aroma.  This is the first year in a long time Scott and I were able to put our ornaments on the tree.
