Happy Birthday Austin!!

Number 10!

We celebrated Austin's 10th birthday today.  Number 10, wow!  Only one more to go and then I'll have no more kids in the single digit numbers.  

Austin had a good time.  He had 13 friends over for loud boy play, cupcakes, and hot dogs.  It was so loud in here the adults could hardly talk.  All the boys had fun and Austin was a happy birthday boy.

Seth's Rocks

Seth got a rock polisher for Christmas from G&G Wren.  He couldn't wait to get home and open it and get it started.  It was a long process and today, he is the happiest little boy on earth because they are finished.  He can get started making jewelry now.

Kalie's room is finally finished.  The boys are next.  I'm thinking of taking a break from the painting.  Fumes are a little strong in this house.  Good thing the weather is nice today to have the windows open to let it air out.  Can't wait to be finished with all this painting.  The house is coming together colorfully.

Making F.H.E. Easier To Plan

I've been wanting to make a F.H.E. chart for a while now so we can keep better track of who is doing what each week.  I found an idea online but while walking around Walmart, I found this cute collection of scrap booking supplies for $5.  I like this one more than the one I found online :)  It's great to have something to show who has what so they can plan for it ahead of time instead of the day before.

 

Boys Playing Basketball

The boys started their basketball games last week and they are loving it.  They haven't won a game yet but they are having fun playing.  At yesterdays game the coach was really working Austin.  He saw Austin is developing into a good bball player.  He kept pulling him aside and giving him hints and tricks.  During the last quarter the coach would yell to the other boys to give the ball to Austin.  He scored a few shots for the team.  They still lost by 11 :) 
We need to work with Seth on dribbling the ball but he is having fun being out there and running around with the boys.  It's so funny to watch all the boys play.  They get easy confused which way they are supposed to go to score.  All the boys on the teams are just learning how to play.  There are some boys that have more experience than others and they can get in some pretty good shots.

It's Finally Finished

After a week of work Teryn's room is finally finished.  She's known for a year what she's wanted to do in her room and now we can stop hearing her ask when her room is going to be painted.  Well Teryn, the time has come and gone.  Your room is painted and ready for you to junk up again.  (I wish I got before and after pictures.  Didn't think about it until way after we started painting her furniture black).
