Teryn's 14th Birthday

Teryn turned 14 today!  Holy cow the time sure does fly by.  I'm sure it will just go by faster now that she will be going to dances, going into high school, drivers ed.  Oie.  Before I know it we'll be planning a wedding for her.  Now THAT, I am not ready for.
For her party she wanted to hang out at the mall with her friends.  I didn't want them to just stroll around with no plan so we put together a scavenger hunt for them.  They had an hour to get everything on the list.  We had 34 items on the list for them to get, all free.  Teryn had a funny story to tell when we all met back up.  One of the items they needed to find was something with the number 14 on it.  They were talking about the list and trying to figure out what they could find with the number 14.  A guy walking by heard them and asked if he could borrow their pen.  They let him and he went into the bathroom and came out with the number 14 written on a piece of toilet paper.  They thought that was funny and gross at the same time.
The girls all had fun and we headed home to have some Smurf cake.  When we cut into it, the inside was blue.  Really blue.  It was yummy too.

Happy Birthday Tear Bear!  I hope you had a great day!  Love you!

Smurf Cake

A friend of mine, Kristi, made this awesome cake for Teryn's 14th birthday.  Teryn is so excited for her cake.  She asked me if we could get cupcakes cause she doesn't want to eat it.  Everything on the cake is make from scratch.  The frosting, fondant and cake.  All the Smurfs are made of fondant.  We are so thankful to Kristi for sharing her time and talent with us so Teryn can have this beautiful cake for her birthday.
Awesome job Kristi!  We love it!

Today My Baby Turns 9

Oh boy am I getting old!  Yep I said it.  I am getting old.  My kids are growing up way to fast and what is really making this a huge reality is Seth turning 9.  Only one more year to go and my kids will all be in the double digit numbers.  I do miss those days when they were little and they needed me every minute of every day.  But I look at these days we're in now and I realize how  much I am enjoying them.  My kids are growing into little adults and make me laugh everyday.  Especially Seth.  He is such a fun loving happy kid.  He comes up with some of the funniest things to say.  He always makes sure the people around him are happy.  When someone is sick or hurt he is there to help and comfort them.  No one has anything bad to say about Seth.  His teachers, parents of friends and friends of his parents always comment about how happy and carefree he is.  He's a true joy and blessing to our family and I am so happy things didn't work out the way we were trying to make happen 9+ years ago.
Love you Seth, Happy Birthday!

These two are still like this today.  Always together.

Happy Birthday Austin!!

Number 10!

We celebrated Austin's 10th birthday today.  Number 10, wow!  Only one more to go and then I'll have no more kids in the single digit numbers.
Austin had a good time.  He had 13 friends over for loud boy play, cupcakes, and hot dogs.  It was so loud in here the adults could hardly talk.  All the boys had fun and Austin was a happy birthday boy.

Happy Birthday Sammie!

Sam turned one yesterday.  We had a party for her today, had to wait for daddy to get home.  We invited her buddy Duke over for some puppy play and puppy treats.  They ran and chased each other all over the house with Nikki trying to run along side of them and get in on the rough play.  Duke went home with a party hat full of dog treats.  I think it's safe to say she had a good bday party.
