This Thanksgiving was the one year anniversary to my Grandmother's passing. I started out with a rough morning. Making Prisnats probably wasn't the best way to start the day but the kids enjoyed it. When I was cleaning up from making them my Dad called to tell me Auntie Elenor had passed. Two of my Grandmother's sisters had passed within a week of each other. Auntie Katie passed just the week before. Both of my Aunts lived with my Grandpa in the retirement home. Now I have concerns for my Grandpa being alone. He was happy while he had my Aunts with him after my Grandmother passed. I hope and pray he can continue to be happy with some of the other friends he's made in there.
Scott was able to be home with us for part of the day. He got called into work about 2:40. He hurried and ate Thanksgiving dinner with us before he left. He didn't want to go knowing I needed him but it all worked out in the long run because my brother called a couple of hours after he left to tell us he was on his way. They went to Bakersfield for Thanksgiving and headed home through our direction. It was a nice surprise and having family here helped get me out of my slump for the day. We had a nice visit with them while they were here. We went to Sunplash and played some arcade games and did a round of laser tag. That was a ton of fun. Later that night Scott got called back out to work. Since he got his call to sparks we all got up the next morning and headed to Sparks to hang out with Scott. We hung out at Scheels and then ate at a yummy hamburger joint called Scoopers. We will definitely go back there. After we ate Chris, Sarah, Christian, Calista,, Carson, Cameron and Cossette headed back home to Utah. I wish they could have stayed longer. Next time they'll have to plan to do so.
THANKS FOR COMING CHRIS, SARAH & FAMILY! WE LOVE YOU!
