Basketball...

Today was the boys last basketball game.  They won 17-11.  5 games in a row!!  When the season first started they didn't have a coach.  They went with out a coach for about 4 weeks.  When coach Habid came in they started learning a lot about Basketball.  After a couple of games you could see a huge difference in the way the boys were playing.  Their first games they played you wouldn't have the thought that they would come close to being one of the first 3, 5, 8 teams.  We were shocked to find out the boys were tied for first a couple of weeks ago.  The season is over next Saturday, (the boys have a bye) so we'll find out what place they get in when it's all said and done. 
After tonight game we headed over to a local pizza place.  The team mom, Chris got medals for the boys with their names on them.  They were so cool.  The kids were excited to get them.  Another mom from the team, Cheryl, got a Kings hat from the boys, they each signed it and they gave it to the coach.  He gave his little speech about how much he loved the boys and he wanted to coach them next year too.  He told us how we can request him when we sign them up.  The boys are hoping they all return next year so they can be on the same team.  It will be fun to see how much they grew and how they play next year.  I'm glad they had a fun time and a great learning experience.  I think Austin should stick with basketball cause he is pretty good.
